Testing my new stylish soundcloud widgets out on my network

So I figured I would give my new soundcloud widgets a whirl thru my network and see how well it translates thru posting.  The first one is the mini.

The second is the album artwork player (large size).  Just upgraded my soundcloud account and want to see how they look.

If you check the symmetry box, it has this cool spirograph effect.  One of the best drawing aps I have tried.  Still testing others, but about have my site and music artwork done.  Oh well, always something to be done.  Its a good kind of busy.

It also has these sweet steampunk style brushes that can be used to create industrial backgrounds.  Realy nice.  Might need to get a deviantart account, lol.

Next objective; email posting test to my music network using posterous

Posterous touts itself as an amazingly easy place to keep a network propagated with content by being able to use its post by email function.   I have not tested this function out significantly yet but here goes.

I'm still thinking that this is going to turn into an awful mess of garbled html, but who knows...

Now testing attachments by uploading a picture done in sumo paint:

Partial success partial failure on Posterous test, retesting.

Seriously, getting it right in the beginning is important.  When I post a video or picture or soundcluod embed, I want to get it right the first time.  

No biggie having a public fail as right now my networks have relatively few (5 as of now 3 of which I am positive are spambots, if they are not there are 3 chicks that look like supermodels that make lots of nosensical sex tweets that are following me, lol)

but as I intend to use this network as a professional portfolio piece I want things to look right as I go.

So the results:

embed shortlink was a fail.  so I am going to be doing html embeds instead there (cant wait to see how that works out for the email posting, sigh...)

also get to try to put in some moe pretty pics since the last effort was a fail, however, there was a problem with the initial upload so that could have been the problem.

So here goes again with the pretty pictures done with Sumo Paint.

Final testing underway, 12 days to going "live" and using Posterous

Well everyone, this is it.  With less that 12 days to go before going "live" officially its important to get all of the kinks out of the system so that I can focus on delivering good music content and not have to worry about small technical issues.

What I want to be able to focus the majority of my time creating, and while networking is not my strong suit, tools such as Posterous significantly reduce the time involved.  What it does is propogate the things I want to hi-light and share across all of the various web platforms where I interact.

This includes my Twitter, Blogger, Tumblir, and main website all from one place.

I have not tried the smartphone ap yet as I do not own a smartphone yet, lol.  (I live in an isolated rural area so we are still pretty much dependant on landlines for reliable web service)

Posting options include posting from email, posting from their rich text editor, and you can also use a web clipper extension.  

So my first test systemwide looking for formatting errors so bear with me if you happen to be someone unfortunate enough to dig through what wil soon be archives of stuff to find this.

Actually search engines are surprisingly fond of bringing me traffic to 2 year old articles so who knows...

First test is going to be a youtube shortlink dropped right into this editor.

Next I am going to use the embed code in the HTML editor:

 

 

Lovely, there is a pic of Roy Schider in Blue Thunder. I am also going to do the the same with soundcloud. Here's a little song I wrote... dont worry be happy. The last part of this test using the picture uploader.

I cant wait to see this, especially the way that they are trying to pull this off.

Releasing a new track today, trying out a couple of free VST the 1984 from pianovintage and bellboy from minimakfabrik hope you enjoy.

Trying out the bandcamp embedded player in this post. Going to be using them to sell tracks in case someone wants to toss a couple coins into the old laptop case.

Created this picture using a Google chrome ap called Kleki which is a really intuitive painting - layering program.  Cant wait to get a really detailed picture done, this one is kinda sloppy but it looked cool enough to demonstrate the point.

Think it would be a cool tool to do a graphic novel with.

Anyways, been working on some tracks to get a little feedback on the soundcloud page and one in particular seems to be getting a few hits and a couple of comments are now popping up (both positive, lol)\

I need something to do with my spare times as I am on hiatus from the MMORPG type games I like to play (way too much) like EVE online and such... Yes had to prioritize ;)

I am testing the sucessful setup of my new  posterous account which I am going to be using as a centralized place to distribute media across several platforms at once.  This place has saved me loads of time by letting me have a place to maintain a nice blog as well as allowing me to post it across twitter, blogger, tumblir,youtube.   Can upload and manage all sorts of media as well.

Well enough chit chat, lets see if this works...

Just finished uploading results of the 2nd processor test for the CN2012 all sounds are vst driven.

Finally something that can handle some music processing without melting down.

So this is the first test of the powerful ZT Music Production Center loaded with Cubase. Allows me to run many many vst instances at once. Really pleased with the performance. Been a long time coming.

Nano-Ship in the Bloodstream

Took some time from programming the cybertronic synapses of the CN2012 MPC unit today to do some creative painting in the Grid.

Kleki  Grid Painting app at its finest.  Created this multi layer picture quite easily.

I could simply play with this app for hours but I have more focused uses in mind...

Carbon based life-form synthesized with music technology.  Yes I believe that will be my tagline.  Sounds good anyway.  So what am I doing here?  




My directive requires that I synthesize with my incredible MPC the CN2012 dubbed by enemy forces as the "Chuck Norris" to produce massively destructive "AutomatroniK"  fusion from the confusion.

The soundtrack for the Better than Life Corporation beckons you to put on your headphones and surrender.
